Isothiazolone Biocide is a solution of CMIT and MIT that eradicates active bacteria, yeasts and moulds in reagents and products used for immunoassay applications. The active ingredients quickly penetrate cell membrane of microorganisms and disrupt the cell’s metabolic pathways, leading to cell death within hours. It provides efficient, cost-effective microbiological control at low use concentrations in immunoassay reagents.
